Hi, my name is Rob Bois and Newton Fine Woodworking is my online virtual furniture gallery.  Newton Fine Woodworking is dedicated to producing innovative, approachable design paired with the highest quality workmanship in the industry.  I believe that in today’s world of fickle tastes and disposable furniture, there are people that still value fine craftsmanship and timeless design.  My portfolio is designed around a few simple tenets.

• Beautiful hardwoods are becoming more scarce and valuable than ever.  In my designs, I highlight the beauty of wood through the combination of careful design, material selection, and finish.

• None of the pieces in my gallery have been stained, glazed, or obscured in any way.  I use all natural finishes such as oil, wax, and shellac to showcase the natural beauty of the medium.

•  All of my designs are completely original and one-of-a-kind.  I borrow elements from historical designs and construction techniques to create fresh and innovative furniture that complements both modern and traditional decor.

•  I have used timbers hand-cut over a hundred years ago from forests that took hundreds of years to grow.  My construction and finish ensure the furniture will last at least as long.

• I use only responsibly harvested or reclaimed material in all my pieces.  Loggers are finding millions of board feet of first-growth mahogany at the bottoms of South American rivers.  I see no need for us to cut down any tropical species while this wonderful supply is still available.
